FREE DAILY 2PM & 4 PM GEOTHERMAL RENEWABLE ENERGY TOURS

In addition to our relaxing hot springs, a free daily geothermal renewable energy tour offers guests an opportunity to learn more about our energy saving projects. Simply check-in at the Activity Center by 1:45PM and sign up for the one hour tour.

NATURAL HOT SPRINGS, FAMILY POOL, AND HOT TUBS

Open daily from 7am to midnight.

Family Swim Pass $60 (10 Swims) Not available to groups.

Natural Outdoor Adult Rock Lake is only available to persons ages 18 and over.

AURORA ICE MUSEUM TOURS

Chena Hot Springs Resort is home to the world’s largest year-round ice museum in the world, the Aurora Ice Museum! It was completed in January 2005 and stays a cool 20 degrees Fahrenheit inside year round. Keeping the museum icy cold in the heat of summer comes from the patented absorption chiller, the first of its kind in the world used for this purpose!

Daily tours are offered at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm 7pm & *9pm. *9pm tour subject to availability.

Please purchase tour tickets at the Activity Center Desk at least 15 minutes prior to start of tour.

DOG SLED RIDES

The Chena Sled Dog Kennel offers guests an exciting Alaskan adventure. During the snowy winter months, guests get a truly authentic taste of dog mushing. Our friendly, experienced guides take you gliding along our serene two mile trail, in one of our locally hand build traditional freight sleds. After the ride, you’ll have a chance to pet one of the amazing dogs who led you around the trail and warm up in our visitor’s center.

DOG KENNEL TOUR

The Chena Sled Dog Kennel tour is your chance to chat with an experienced musher. Your guide will teach you about the sport, sharing knowledge and answering any questions you may have. You will be introduced to some amazing Alaskan Huskies, learn about this fascinating breed, and tour a working mushing kennel of over 50 dogs. The educational visitor center is a great place to warm up in the cool winter months, or to get a break from the sun during the sunny summer months. You will walk away from this tour with an abundance of dog mushing knowledge.

FLIGHTSEEING

Flightseeing 200+ per person

Flightseeing around the Resort offered at $200 per hour/per person. All flights require a FOUR passenger minimum.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Relax! Rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit with Massage Therapy. Benefits include increased range of motion and circulation, decreased stress and pain relief.

Swedish Massage

A light flowing massage that reduces pain and joint stiffness by increasing circulation. A great way to relax and de-stress!

Reflexology

A type of massage based on the principle that there are relflexes in the hands and feet that relate to every organ, gland, and system of the body.

Cranial/Sacral Therapy

A series of light tough techniques to the cranium to maximize the flow of spinal fluid. Used for relaxation, stress relief, and to alleviate headaches.

Deep Tissue Massage

This type of massage uses harder strokes to alleviate pain and tension.

Sports Massage

A therapeutic massage that is specific to areas of stress.  Emphasizes stretching and deeper strokes on targeted muscles.

Prenatal Massage

Get off your feet and get a massage while you're  pregnant! Side lying position available.

SNOW COACH TOURS

If you enjoy nature and want to see the Aurora Borealis up close then an Aurora Viewing Snow Coach Tour at Chena is a must for your "life list." What is a Snow Coach Tour? It's an adventure of a lifetime! Depart the Chena Activity Center (1100 ft.) and venture 30 minutes up the hillside via Snow Coach to the top of a hill (2600 ft.) Our Snow Coaches hold three persons in the front compartment with the Tour Guide and 10 persons in the rear compartment. We have a total of six Snow Coaches available so we won't leave anyone that wants to go behind!

After arriving on top, keep warm inside our heated 30 ft. Mongolian Yurt and enjoy a hot beverage of your choice (Aurora Viewing Tour only). Head outside to see the gorgeous sunset (Sunset Tour) or the amazing Northern Lights (Aurora Viewing Tour) and create memories of your Alaskan adventure! "Restroom facilities" at the Yurt consist of two unisex outhouses to complete your "rustic" Alaskan experience. If that doesn't thrill you, then be sure to use the restroom in the Activity Center or your room before heading up.

Sunset Snow Coach Tour - 1 1/2 hours - $50 per person

Daily Sunset Snow Coach Tours (December 1 - March 31). Departure times vary. Check with Activity Center Staff for departure time.

Aurora Viewing Snow Coach Tour - 2+ hours - $75 per person

Nightly Aurora Viewing Snow Coach Tours (December 1 - March 31). Depart Activity Center at 10PM and return to the resort at 2AM. Earlier departure time from the top is possible only if ALL Aurora Viewing tour guests in ALL the Snow Coaches going up that night request it. Otherwise, due to safety reasons, ALL snow coaches must return to the resort at the same time. So please be prepared to stay until 2AM and enjoy the skies!

Note: A minimum of FOUR persons is required for either Snow Coach tour to operate.

CHENA DOG MUSHING SCHOOL

Have you always wanted to drive a team of dogs around a beautiful winter trail and feel the rush of adrenaline with a speed you never imagined? Well, here's your chance to embrace the sport first hand by driving your own team of dogs! After an hour training session learning about Alaskan dog mushing, you will get behind the sled of your own team and travel around the resorts two mile dog sled trail. After completing your training as an Alaskan Dog Musher you will receive an official Chena Hot Springs Dog Musher Certificate.

Sled Dog Mushing School - $225 per person - Approximately 2 hours - Ages 14+ Note: No experience necessary, just bring your sense of adventure!

SKI, SNOWSHOE, AND ICE SKATE RENTAL

Get a work out by renting cross-country skis, snowshoes or ice skates at the Activity Center and cruise around the resort's 440 beautiful acres and scenic trails. The ice skating pond is located next to the Swimming Pool House. Various sizes available.

All day rental $25 per person. All ages.

24 hour Winter Gear Rental $25 all three pieces (Parka, insulated snow pants & bunny boots) or $10 each piece

SNOW MACHINE TOURS

Take a day time or evening Guided Snow Machine Tour around areas of the resort only accessed by snowmachine. Experienced Tour Guides show you the resort from trails and areas of the resort you haven't seen before. No experience necessary.
